Mikaël Hirsch is a French writer born in Paris in 1973. Two of his novels (Le Réprouvé, 2010 and Avec les hommes, 2013) were shortlisted for the Femina Prize. After Libertalia, published in 2015, Quand nous étions des ombres is his fourth novel for Intervalles. It is a powerful novel about disappearance and a harsh tale of arrogance.
