Publication date 2007, may 18 for France, september for UK and november for USA.

"Cinema brought me to photography. It is Orson Welles, Hitchcock, and Fritz Lang, when I was young cinema enthusiast, who taught me the centring of the lights, which I tried to reproduce with my flash. And I left to Cannes in 1983, and there it was like getting to Paradise: Truffaut, Scorsese, Hanna Schygulla, Ferreri, De Niro... they all played the portrait game in front of my camera." Xavier Lambours

In his henceforth famous square format, Xavier Lambours photographed for 25 years the biggest names in the cinema world: actors (Robert De Niro, Nicole Kidman, Clint Eastwood, Liz Taylor, Harvey Keitel...), directors (Scorsese, David Lynch, Orson Welles, Wong Kar-Wai...), scriptwriters, chief operators or decorators... Moving, surprising or simply artistic, these portraits set up the gallery of those who made cinematography an art..
